It’s your lucky day!
Band of brothers, MKAI, are no strangers to the Irish music scene. Since formation, the lads have played across the country — from Electric Picnic to Indiependence — and were also shortlisted for Glastonbury’s Emgerging Talent Competition just last year. Tomorrow, the Cork-born four return to Cyrprus Avenue for another cracking gig, with support from mates Heroes in Hiding. In conversation with bandmember, Colm, I’m told the boys “absolutely can’t wait to play Cyprus Avenue”, the gig being their first in Cork for 2017. “We’ve been working on some new tunes that we hope to release later in the year — we’re really looking forward to belting them out at the show.” The gig promises to be a great one: it’s Cork talent on a Cork stage, after all. Colm expresses his enthusiasm for the upcoming gig, saying, “there really is nothing like playing to a home crowd” and that it promises to be a “great night!”
So, fancy a night-out in Cyprus Avenue tomorrow, March 4th, at 8pm? You’re in luck! MKAI have kindly given Motley a spot on the guest list. Send your interest to Gemma at firstname.lastname@example.org.
